Cosplay Chibis!

One thing that is both awesome and not is when a friend of yours decides to get you a gift as a surprise for Christmas. It's awesome because they're being super nice, but then it's not when you realize you didn't get them a gift and you'll look selfish if you don't have a gift in return... so, when a friend of mine told me he had a gift for me that he'd give when I see him in a week, I panicked and was like, 'OH NO I NEED A GIFT TO GIVE BACK IN A WEEK WHEN I SEE HIM!'

He likes my art and Legends of Zelda (I got him to play it a few years ago, and we've since become the biggest Zelda nerds ever, we even saw the LOZ Symphony together), so I drew both of us cosplaying Link and Zelda from Skyward Sword. I'll probably get it printed out or something. Whatever will ship within a few days (or, Costco prints as a back-up!)



You know, I really like the shading on the Link chibi. Like, it looks so smooth yet shiny! Meanwhile, my Zelda chibi looks like plastic... maybe that isn't such a bad thing, though. A new style...? You know how every artist seems to have a normal style and a special style with a cute name? (Well, Yamio HAD crystal shading until she got rid of it T_T) Well, maybe this is my PLASTIC CHIBI STYLE!!!

(I pretty much forgot how to draw chibis before I started this, so I used Hyanna-Natsu's chibi style as a reference to start off... credit where credit is due, I guess? Better safe than sorry)
